Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I know what size I am?

To find your ring size, wrap a strip of paper or string around the base of your finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure the length in millimeters. Use our ring size guide (here) to match the measurement to a US ring size. For best results, measure at the end of the day when your fingers are slightly swollen and avoid measuring cold fingers—they shrink!

2. Why does silver turn my fingers green?

Silver can turn your fingers green because sterling silver can react with moisture, sweat, and skin acids to form green copper salts. This harmless discoloration is more likely in people with acidic skin and usually washes off easily. To prevent it, keep it dry, clean it regularly, or if all else fails, consider gold jewelry.

3. My ring is tarnished, help!

  • PREVENT tarnishing by:
    • Storing silver in anti-tarnish cloth or bags
    • Add silica gel packets or chalk to absorb moisture
    • Wear your silver often — it tarnishes less with use!
    • Never wear in a hot springs or water with sulfur. Pools with high chlorine should also be avoided.
  • If you still have tarnished silver:
    • Just grab a silver polishing cloth and give it a soft rub!
    • Soak in vinegar and baking soda, then give it a little polish with a soft rag.
    • 925 silver doesn't tarnish easily, but if it does it's usually pretty easy to clean!
